Hello, I’m Steve, and I own 65 Plus Health Plans LLC, an independent insurance agency based in Birmingham, Alabama. I have more than 30 years of experience helping people across Alabama find the right Medicare coverage.

Medicare Supplements (Medigap plans) help pay out-of-pocket costs not covered by Original Medicare, such as deductibles, copays, and coinsurance, leaving you with low and predictable medical expenses.
Medicare Advantage plans combine hospital and medical coverage, often including prescription drug coverage, but require you to use doctors and hospitals in their network. With an Advantage plan, you could also face higher out-of-pocket costs for medical care.
Part D Prescription Drug Plans help with medication costs.

Before You Decide

You must be enrolled in Medicare Part A and Part B to join a Medicare Supplement (Medigap) or Medicare Advantage Plan. Medicare Advantage and Prescription Drug Plans are usually available to people living in the plan’s service area who already have Medicare Part A and Part B, and some plans might have extra rules.
