Medicare Part B includes coverage for outpatient medical services such as doctor’s visits, diagnostic tests, and other outpatient care, as well as preventive care. There is an annual deductible of $240. After meeting the deductible, Medicare will cover 80% of Part B medical expenses, while you are responsible for the remaining 20% as coinsurance. Additionally, you’ll need to pay a monthly premium for your Part B coverage, which is $174.70 for 2024. If your income exceeds a certain amount, your premium could be higher.
